Take the pulse of your community

Are you curious about how healthy your neighborhood is? Learning about neighborhood health issues gives New Yorkers information they need to join efforts to improve health in their own communities.

The New York City Community Health Profiles provide a picture of neighborhood health in each of the city’s 59 community districts.

These reports include traditional measures of health, such as key health behaviors and outcomes, as well as data on conditions that influence health, such as housing quality, air pollution, and access to healthy food.

In addition to the Profiles, you can find neighborhood data by using the NYC Health Department’s interactive data tools, EpiQuery, a user-friendly system that guides users through basic health data analyses, and the Environment and Health Data Portal.
