A transactional attorney at Venable LLP, Ms. Borowick is a member of the firm’s Regulatory Practice Group. Her work includes negotiating corporate sponsorship deals and talent endorsements and helping clients comply with advertising regulations. Previously she advised banking clients on cross-border matters, including securities offerings and structured finance transactions. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ms. Borowick worked for three years as a Legislative Analyst at the NYC Health Department, where her focus was on disease control and mental hygiene. She successfully led the Health Department’s efforts to change New York state law to allow pharmacists to immunize adults and to allow doctors to prescribe expedited partner therapy for chlamydia. She is especially interested in the Olympics and Paralympics, each as a force for overcoming social exclusion and addressing public health issues such as childhood obesity.
A graduate of Stanford University, Ms. Borowick earned her law degree from New York University School of Law. She also holds an MSc in Urban Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science. In addition to serving on the Fund’s Board of Directors, she is a member of Manhattan Community Board 5.
