The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC), on behalf of the Building Healthy Communities (BHC) initiative, is currently accepting proposals for community based organizations and groups interested in activating their neighborhood’s streets and public spaces with healthy engaging programming.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to identify and support existing groups and organizations that would like to offer programming that encourages healthy uses of the streets, parks, playgrounds, plazas, and gardens and existing NYCHA green spaces in five neighborhoods (Morrisania, Mott Haven, Hunts Point, East Harlem, and Brownsville). Funding for these programs and activation projects will be disbursed by FPHNYC to eligible institutions based on their response to this RFP. We expect to award up to 15 grants ranging from $2,000 to $5,000.
